GMB Fitness is a bodyweight/gymnastics training method that emphasizes gaining physical autonomy through improving strength, flexibility and motor control. Physical autonomy is the ability to be able to do the things you want to do in your life. Whether it’s playing with your kids, getting better at your sport, or being able to do cool gymnastics skills, there are always things we want to improve upon. The GMB method can help get you there!
In this class, we will cover some of the foundation movements of bodyweight training. We will use locomotion/animal movements to assess what we need to focus on with our training: strength, flexibility or control. We will cover movements such as chin-ups, the L-sit, squat variations, cartwheels, and of course the handstand. Flexibility work will be included.
The GMB approach to training is safe and progressive, with exercises and drills for every level. If you’ve never tried any of this or if you have a freestanding handstand, this class is for you!
