GMB is a bodyweight training method with the primary focus being on physical autonomy, or the ability to do what you want to do with you body. GMB uses gymnastics movements, with a focus on quality of movement, to train the body progressively and mindfully.
The handstand is the ultimate bodyweight exercise. To balance in a handstand requires strength, flexility and motor control. This workshop will cover the fundamentals of handstanding. Whether you have never tried to handstand but always wanted to, or have a freestanding handstand you would like to improve upon, this workshop is for you.
The GMB approach to handstands is safe and progressive, with exercises and drills for every level.
In this workshop, we will cover stretching and mobility work to improve your handstand, body positioning for handstands, getting into and out of a handstand, strengthening exercises to improve shoulder and core strength, and endurance for handstands.
